Evening Song: On the Threshold of Light

  • Lagerquist Concert Hall 868 Wheeler Street South Tacoma, WA, 98444 United States (map)

On June 6, 2026 at 7:00 PM, the Sonoro Women’s Choir and Sonoro Chamber Orchestra invite you to PLU’s Lagerquist Concert Hall for Evening Song: On the Threshold of Light—a concert that lingers in the luminous space between dusk and dawn. Anchored by Fauré’s radiant Requiem and illuminated by Holst’s mystical Choral Hymns from the Rig Veda and Abbie Betinis’s vibrant From Behind the Caravan, the program culminates in the world premiere of a newly commissioned setting of “Evening Song” by Celina Anna Kintscher, who will join us to share reflections on her work. Framed around themes of twilight, transcendence, and the quiet hope that rises at the edge of darkness, this concert invites listeners into a space where ancient texts and modern voices meet in a vibrant celebration of beauty and renewal. We hope you will join us for this unforgettable experience.
